Java 19, released in September 2022 came up with a number of new upgrades in performance, stability, and security.
However, developers aren't that satisfied with it and want more improvements in Java 20.
Java 20 will be released in March 2023.
But what improvements do developers want in Java 20?
"Developers would like to see improvements such as better tooling support or simplifying common tasks."
Jeroen Gils, CEO of LiFi.co, said
Developers are also looking forward to advancements in profiling, concurrency, and universal generics.
Java 19 had Structured Concurrency as its essential feature but in Java 20 it is unsure whether it will include upgrade in the concurrent programming or not.
Now it is time to wait and see whether the expectations of the developers will be fulfilled or not.
